This month's article is a compilation of reader's response to last month's challenge of shaping the article this month.

Tom writes in:  I love the fact that I can put 600 songs on one cd in mp3 format and play them in my car.  Wow, think about that!  That really saves some storage space.

Jennifer writes in:  I like listening to the radio on the internet I get such a broader selection then from local stations.  On aol.com you can listen to xm for free!  Yowsers!

Bob writes in:  I like that there is DSL and it's so much faster then dial up.  Yeah- I remember the old days back when modems were 14.4kbps.  Ouch that's slow!

Joe writes in:  I like the fact that my satellite dish gives me more channels for less money then cable.  I am with you on that one we just switched from cable to satellite.  

Amy writes in:  I love how I can access so many different versions of the Bible online.  You can do this at www.biblegateway.com  and it's free!!

Ron writes in:  I like that I can manage my own portfolio instead of paying a broker to do it for me. 

Dan writes in:  I like that there is DSL and Cable.  I have DSL and it's faster then cable.  I found myself making that switch this month.  As Time Warner has oversold their bandwidth in some areas.  I happen to be in one of those areas.

Cable is a shared technology.  So when all your neighbors have it also it just keeps dropping the speed more and more. 

With everyone going to cable internet, cable phone and TV, the bandwidth gets eaten up pretty quickly now.  And cable speeds are getting bad for internet access.  DSL you don't have to share with your neighbors so the speeds are much more steady.  My cable speeds were all over the place.  I couldn't get any consistency out of it.  So I dumped it for DSL.  Let's just say I'm happy again. 

Just yesterday I was down in Marion with my buddy on a way to a concert and we got lost.  So I just got on my blackberry and got directions and we were there in no time.  Technology has made our lives more convenient.  Except when it breaks, then we play heck trying to get the company to fix it.  A lot of times it just cheaper to replace electronics then to have them fixed.  This is especially true of printer under the $300.00 dollar mark.
