The story of Little Eagle by Chen Jiang Hong is based on a traditional story from ancient China.  It is the story of an orphaned boy who was adopted by kind, generous Master Yang (who is also a master of Eagle boxing).  The illustrations are beautiful and have powerful story-telling qualities themselves, much like a comic book or graphic novel does. My favorite page shows four seasons of Little Eagle enduring the rigors of training.

This is a great picture book for readers of all ages.  For those who are studying martial arts or just like a good story, this book is worth reading.
