Jaded

Having a repetoire of well over a hundred songs is impressive for any type band. Jaded, which includes current members Scott Thompson, George Head, Kelly Motter, and John Beery plays music ranging from between the 70's to the present with classic rock, alternative rock, modern rock, and "some heavier stuff." They want to give a special thanks to Marty, Rick, Blaine, Jeff, Wesley, and Rob (all former band members), saying that "without their help we couldn't have done it." While they are proud of the wide range of music which they are able to perform, they believe that the band's energy is what sets them apart from other bands. "In the 90's and late 80's everybody had energy shows and that kind of went away with alternative rock and hair cuts…most people come in an don't leave because we have something to look at besides something to listen to."

Jaded will be performing at Miss Cue on June 21st and is scheduled for eighteen performances at Put-In-Bay this summer and hopes that these performances "open some doors." Their goal is to be "one of the major show bands" in the area, drawing crowds based on the entertainment value of the band.

What they love about performing is "the recognition part of it when you do a good job." Jaded believes that things like "the crowed closing their eyes and singing along or a sober person saying 'good job'" are a huge compliment. They were also thrilled when they saw people dancing across the street to their music during one of their shows in McComb. As for the music scene in Findlay, Jaded believes that it is "doing a really good job musically…Findlay's music scene is actually really cool." Their advice to other aspiring musicians is that they should "listen, don't talk. Pay attention, nobody knows it all. Listen and keep your eyes open."
