Director Baker pulled together the large array of wind instruments from flutes to tubas and percussionists to conduct County Honors Band. Through renditions of classic marching songs such as "Miss Liberty Walk" and "Flight of the Pegasus" these students performed flawlessly for al those in attendance. The tryouts were held at Liberty Benton High School and all of the participating schools pulled together 93 students for the Honors Choir and 65 students for the Honors Band. Unlike in previous years, the bad weather that kept the schools closed for a number of days in February, also kept the participants from holding the normal number of rehearsals. This did not adversely affect the final performance as the students were able to get one rehearsal completed together and showed why they were chosen for the local honor. Congratulations to the students for their hard work and dedication to be the best they can be and their families for the support and encouragement along the way in achieving this honor.
