Real Estate Matters Can you believe it is June already? Summer vacations are in full swing and children's laughter fills the neighborhood streets. It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood, won't you be my neighbor? Didn't someone famous use to sing that? Anyway we Realtors are singing that song. The market has come alive and we are busy making the American Dream come true for our customers. If you are selling your home here are some tips to help you get ready for the show! Start by taking a look from the street. Remember what you liked when you first saw your home. Have you improved on it or let anything go? Next walk slowly through the interior, eliminate odors, especially pet and smoke odors. Clean the windows and pull back the drapes to maximize light, bright rooms. Your home's illumination can be a welcome sign to that prospective buyer. Turn on all of your outside and inside lights when showing your home at night and they will feel a glowing warmth as a result of your lighting and it will make your home very inviting to all who enter in. Music soothes the savage beast but not the potential buyer. When showing your house turn off that blaring radio or tv. A very soft sound might work but it is best not to have a distraction. Curb your pets. When showing your home keep all pets out of the way and not underfoot. Keep the litter boxes clean and out of sight if possible. Silence is golden. If for some reason you need to be home when the buyers are viewing your home be courteous and friendly, but don't try to force conversion with potential buyer. And be it ever so humble there is no place like home. Never apologize for the appearance of your home, If any objections or derogatory comments are offered, let your experienced Realtor answer them After all, that is their job. Just Remember: first impressions are important, so keep your house clean, the yard neat and be ready at any time and leave the rest to your favorite Realtor. And by the way ,if you don't have a favorite Realtor, feel free to call me! Would love to be your Realtor! Buy now, © Copyright 2003-2006 by Findlay Living and DynamiKComm, Inc. |
