Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay’s third Senior Forum session will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, and will continue weekly through Wednesday, Oct. 31, in the Alumni Memorial Union (AMU).
Senior Forum is a flexible learning experience for people age 50 and older. Participants will explore a variety of topics with expert instructors from the UF campus and the greater community.
Each Senior Forum offers three informative and entertaining sessions – one in the morning, one during the lunch hour and one in the afternoon. Attendees may choose to complete the entire day of sessions or attend one or two sessions.
The Oct. 10 Senior Forum will begin with a coffee social at 10 a.m. followed by “Ethnic Roots: Findlay’s Immigrants” by Paulette Weiser of the Hancock County Historical Museum at 10:15 a.m. A buffet lunch will be offered at 11:30 a.m. Dean of UF’s College of Education, Alice Anderson, Ph.D., will present “Tough Choices for Tough Times: Education Today” at noon, and Fresh Schmidt with Paragon will present “Barbershop: America’s Harmony” at 1:15 p.m.
The cost to attend all three sessions is $15 per person. Individual sessions are $5. A buffet lunch is available for an additional $5 per day, and a coffee/tea bar is available all day at no additional charge.
